Ruaha Hilltop Lodge

The lovely Ruaha Hilltop Lodge is constructed on a hill that has wonderful panoramic views of the Ruaha National Park. There is a large variety of butterflies, trees, wild flowers and different birds that you can view nearby. The lodge is approximately 110 kilometers from Iringa and 5 kilometers from the Tungamalenga village.

The luxurious self contained cottages at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge are all very private and comfortable. Each of the cottages have their own balcony boasting spectacular views. The water is heated up by solar power to ensure maximum comfort. The dining room, bar and reception are all under the same roof and there is a marvelous gallery that ensures you get the best views of the wildlife that come visit.

The experienced chefs will provide you with the best Tanzanian and continental cuisine, using only fresh produce found from the area. The well stocked bar offers wonderful refreshments and there is freshly baked bread available daily.

Ruaha Hilltop Lodge is the best location for many interesting activities, allowing you to explore the local culture and the Hehe tribal villages. Bird watching is a treat in this area and there are bicycles available for you to venture around the area. Visit the Masai bomas and watch the traditional dancing, go mountain hiking or walk on some of the walking safaris that take place inside the Park. Trips to the beautiful Ismila Stone Age site is fabulous and the Mufindi tea plantations and the Lake Nyasa are an experience on their own.
